Wednesday Links and DITL
Today was Day 2 of the Bok Center Conference, with my colleague Bret leading a case discussion on group work. We are getting ready for our annual freshman advising period, which starts tomorrow and continues until September 24th.
Here’s what piqued my interest on the internet today:
- A new plugin for iPhoto that allows you to export directly to a ZIP archive (via Mac OS X Hints)
- Word Processors: Stupid and Inefficient: by the end you realize this is a pro-TeX rant. Also available in German, Spanish, French, and Hebrew!
- The Hundred Greatest Theorems by Nathan Kahl of the Stevens Institute of Technology. I would put the Poincaré Conjecture on the list, though.
- Pretty Pictures department: The Gallery of Map Projections.
- Wikipedia publishes its two millionth article.
